Information Sessions are open to Georgetown Community and you will not need to enroll, simply come and get updated on this new file sharing service.

Information Session Summary:

Box 101 – an information presentation covering everything you need to know about this cloud-based, file storage and sharing service for Georgetown Faculty, Staff and for-credit Students. As part of our overall File Sharing and Storage strategy, Box, along with new document management and file sharing offerings, will replace GUShare by the end of the year.

Hands on Training Summary:

In this session, you will learn the basic skills you need to quickly and easily integrate Box into your everyday workflow. You’ll learn how to navigate your Box account and build an environment that promotes collaboration with your class or colleagues. You’ll discover tools that eliminate the need for email attachments, allow you to collaborate with people outside Georgetown, and make it easy for you to access your content when you’re on the go. Overall, you will understand Box as a fast, mobile, and collaboration tool.

Objective: When the session’s over, you’ll know how to:

  • Create new content and upload existing files and folders
  • Share content with collaborators using a variety of methods
  • Collaborate with others, right in Box – with comments, discussions, and tasks
  • Establish transparency around your data through collaborative workspaces
  • Find content efficiently in one centralized location
  • Increase productivity and ease of workflow for you team
  • Bring Box on the go and integrate with existing systems
  • Navigate Box like it’s the back of your hand
  • Plus, you’ll have the chance to ask us questions at the end of the training
